Community Service

The Community Service Program is designed to provide opportunities for delinquent youth to gain positive experiences through

contribution of time and energy to our community and to assist the youth in developing assets and skills that they need to make

better decisions.  Judge Thomas E. Heydinger initiated the program in 1995.

The community service participant is court ordered to complete a number of commmunity service hours within ten weeks.  The participant will be repaying the community in a positiive way to compensate for committing an offense while being given an opportunity to build job and decision making skills in a supervised environment.

Our goal is to reduce repeat offenses and help participants develop personal assets that have been shown to aid in making positive behavior choices.
